Isaac's number game

The boys are obviously at different levels than each other when it comes to letters and numbers. It is easy to do crafts with them both even though sometimes it is geared more toward one than the other and a lot of times our crafts are just reviewing something they already know or just for fun. But when it comes to learning something I have to make the activities more personal and that gets hard because then I have to have separate activities. Sometimes it's the same activity but I have to alter it to be harder for Will or easier for Isaac. Anyway, this activity was just for Isaac.

The picture pretty well tells what I did. I got this idea from ABC and 123. I think they were linking to someone else that actually did this but I found the idea awhile ago and unfortunately can't remember who the original idea came from. It seemed perfect Isaac though.

I just got five pieces of paper and cut out the numbers 1-5 and glued them to the corner. Then I had him use Legos to put the right amount on each paper. He can count really well, sometimes almost to 20 but he doesn't recognize his numbers yet very well so this was a good practice. You could pretty much use whatever you had on hand--cars, stickers, candy, or whatever. I also mixed them up to make it harder.
