Will can count but he can't recognize his numbers so I thought we could work on that with these eggs. He also knows his ABC's and only gets the hard ones confused like q and p. He is still young to know how to put the letters together but I figured we could practice them anyway. He is just so interested in his letters. The other day he say a stop sign and said, "Mom! That hoctagon has my letters on it!" I asked him what letters they were and he told me them. Of course, he can't really read it though. So, here is an idea: Get plastic eggs and put the numbers on one half of the egg. Then on the bottom half draw dots that go with that number. Let him match them. With the letters I just did his name and then a T for his middle name and an R for his last name. I wrote the letter so that it was on both sides of the egg and then he has to match them to make the letter.
Another thing we did this week was match with M&M's. He got to count all the red, green, blue, etc. Then I had him do a sequence. Anyway, I don't have an original bone in my body so don't go thinking I made all these things up in my head. Everything comes from my experience teaching at the preschool.

That's a great idea! How fun!
You should pass on your ideas. Abby is the smartest little girl I know so I know you have lots of good ideas.
