FHE on repenting

I looked online for some FHE ideas and found a website called FHE in a snap. It had some great ideas. I found a few others too. I'll have to update my blogroll to include them. I found this idea about consequences and thought the boys would enjoy it. I couldn't figure out how to copy the picture from the website so I had to draw it myself but I made a little boy named Nathan and we talked about some scenarios. Each time Nathan made a bad choice we smeared him with Peanut Butter. Then we talked about what Nathan could do to repent and each time he repented we wiped Peanut Butter off until he was clean. Afterwards we had Peanut Butter Bars. The boys loved the activity and loved the treat.

Peanut Butter Bars

INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
4 tablespoons peanut butter
DIRECTIONS
1.In a medium bowl, mix together the butter or margarine, graham cracker crumbs, confectioners' sugar, and 1 cup peanut butter until well blended. Press evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 inch pan.
2.In a metal bowl over simmering water, or in the microwave, melt the chocolate chips with the peanut butter, stirring occasionally until smooth. Spread over the prepared crust. Refrigerate for at least one hour before cutting into squares
The recipe came from allrecipes.com
