Music and the letter P

Today we learned about music. The boys made piano's. We found the idea for the craft from no time for flash cards but then we expounded about that idea. The great thing about doing crafts is that you can learn so many things all at once. While we made the piano's we went over to our real piano and played the notes. Then we made one out of construction paper. We talked about what color the piano is. We talked about patterns and how there is a pattern with the keys (three black, two black, three black, two black). We also talked about the letter P.



I have some instruments I drew on construction paper. I made each one out of colored construction paper with a matching instrument in black. The boys matched them after we talked about what each instrument was and then we got on youtube and watched videos of what each instrument sounded like.


Tomorrow I think we will make music shakers but I don't know if we will get it done because Aunt Katy is visiting!!!
