Talent show!

This week for family home evening we copied my brother and his wife. They had this great idea to have a talent show. Because talents are one of the areas we are focusing on this year, I thought that was a perfect idea. Two weeks ago we talked about talents and what they are. We read the story of the talents and then we talked about the talents we each have. We decided that the following week we would have a talent show. Isaac decided his talent was drawing. I've mentioned it before but Isaac is an artist. He loved everything art. His art work isn't always noticeable yet but that kid can stay in the lines like nobodies business. He drew a bunch of letters (mostly I's and S's and C's. He is learning to write his name). He drew a "tormato" or tornado and some other things.

Will chose to ride his bike for his talent. He was also going to show us how to skip and do some other exercises but he forgot once he got on his bike.

Eli likes to dance so we turned on music and let him dance.

Mike is writing a book--it's very interesting and I'm very glad he is developing this talent. He wants to make millions writing a book. So, if anyone wants to buy a book once it's written that would make him very happy.

I have been working on taking pictures and taking a cake decorating class so for our family home evening treat we ate the cake I decorated.
